Our History

  • 2006 – A Vision is Born

In 2006, under the leadership of Rev. Kabuba and the Local Church Council (L.C.C), the need for a school along Kenyatta Road was identified due to the growing population in the area. With only one school serving the community, the church resolved to establish an institution that would provide quality education. The church vestry be turned to a classroom during the week and used as a vestry on Sundays.

On 10th November, the interview was conducted and only one teacher – Tr. Martha, was chosen.  Thereafter, all other school requirements were put in place.  By then the school was called P.C.E.A KENYATTA ROAD SCHOOL which later came to change to AHADI PRESBYTERIAN SCHOOL.

  • 2007 - The School Opens

On 8th January 2007, the school opened with the teacher Martha who enrolled three pupils namely; Arnold Njenga, Andrew Muhungi and Eric Njiru.  By the end of the first term, the school had enrolled 12 pupils.

The L.C.C then decided to start a feeding programme for the learners and it is through this that the school’s first cook was employed – Irene Wanjiru.  Within the same year, a new teacher was also employed – Md Ann Kamau and later Jane Ndungu.  The school year ended with 3 teachers and 12 students.

  • 2009 - Strengthening Leadership & Growth

In 2009, Mr. Muchuku Kimani joined the school as Headteacher. Under his leadership, the school experienced steady academic and structural growth.

Enrollment continued to rise, marking a new phase of stability and expansion. By the end of three years, the school had hit a population of 28 students.

  • 2015 - First National Examination

In 2015, the school proudly presented its first KCPE candidates – a class of 11 learners. This milestone marked a defining moment, demonstrating the school’s academic maturity and readiness to compete at national level.

The continued success of graduates transitioning into secondary schools has further affirmed the strong academic foundation established at Ahadi.

  • 2024 - Junior School

In 2024, the introduction and development of the Junior School marked a major milestone, making Ahadi Presbyterian School a fully comprehensive institution offering education from Early Years through Junior School.

  • Excellence Beyond the Classroom

Ahadi Presbyterian School is committed to nurturing a holistic child and strongly embraces co-curricular activities.

A notable achievement was when Elvis Kariuki represented the school at the National Music Festivals in Kisumu, emerging position 3 in a solo verse performance.

More recently, in 2025, the school once again represented at the National Music Festival with a folk song performance, demonstrating continued excellence and talent development beyond the classroom.
